okay ... where did it go?

The time I mean! It's been a great summer so far. Michael played a little baseball. Allison and Brianna played a little softball. And the little red car has been all over the place!

The new battery works great. The new battery clamp didn't fare so well in testing. I can see now that the material would have to be a lot beefier (or a weldment / casting / pressed metal) to hold up to the pounding. I'm reworking the original bracket and we'll see how that goes. It is really tough to find small ID SS tubing in these parts. This is when I miss my desk the most; a catalog to the greatest little small components supplier used to sit on the shelf just left of center over my head.

Anyhow, still working on funding for a new rear window. I think I found some material at McMaster-Carr that will work but I still cannot find any velcro that is up to the heat and weather requirements ... maybe a different attachment method?

Almost here now!

Michael and I went down and hooked up the battery charger yesterday. We took some measurements (for the back window replacement idea I have). We also took some notes on the new battery installation for an article to be written this Summer. Even in storage the little red car looks good. We can hardly wait. :-)

Spring is here!

Although this is not big news to anyone, it signals the beginning of the countdown ... to when the little red car can be retrieved from storage and once more roam the highways and byways. I'm torn this year between wanting to work [did I mention I'm job hunting?] and wanting to spend the days gloriously humming along in my Miata. Well, when I'm not golfing or playing with Michael that is. :-)
